LARNACA – Police on Monday found five used artillery rounds in an open area in Kofinou village, believed to have been stolen from the National Guard.
Police Spokesman Christos Andreou said officers searched the area following a tip off and found the shells in a box.
Members of the bomb squad inspected the area and confirmed that the shells had been fired in the area.
The police have issued an arrest warrant for a suspect and are investigating the case with the National Guard.
