NICOSIA - An armed robbery took place this morning at the Cooperative Bank of Tamassos at Psimolofou, village southwest of Nicosia.
According to CyBC two men armed with shotguns and wearing hoods entered the bank and ordered the sole customer, a woman, to hand over her money. When she told them she only had a cheque, they turned to the cashier and asked for money.
No details about the amount stolen were yet available.
