NICOSIA - Cyprus will continue to support the two-State solution to the Middle East, said Foreign Minister, Markos Kyprianou, stressing that a Palestinian state must be viable and sovereign.
He added that during his visit to Ramallah he discussed with the Prime Minister of the Palestinian Authority and the Foreign Minister, ways in which Cyprus can to reinforce the infrastructure of the institutions as the Palestinians prepare for the day to be declared an independent and sovereign state.
In statements at Larnaca airport, returning from Ramallah, Mr Kyprianou said the visit was successful. He said the visit had a double purpose, first, the inauguration of the Joint Cyprus-Palestine Parliamentary Office Cyprus in Ramallah the Foreign Minister and bilateral cooperation.
