LONDON - Harlequins centre David Howell could be banned for up to five matches after being charged with an illegal tackle by the RFL disciplinary committee.

Howell has been charged with a Grade D illegal tackle on Wigan's Sam Tomkins during the Warriors' 40-12 win.

Howell, who faces a possible ban of three to five matches, was sent off in the 27th minute of the engage Super League match at the JJB Stadium on July 3 and has been charged with intentional striking with hand, arm or shoulder (forearm).
