NICOSIA - A bill banning smoking in all public areas including restaurants, hotels and recreational areas will go before the House plenum next Thursday, July 9.
The bill was discussed at the House Health Committee today (Thursday) and political parties will position themselves on it during an emergency committee meeting on Monday.
A group of 30-40 representatives of various anti-smoking organisations protested against smoking outside the House yesterday, calling the plenum to pass the bill totally banning smoking in all public places.
