Paphos is perhaps better known for its places of historical interest and beautiful beaches but in recent years some stylish boutiques and shops have opened up giving fashionistas in the area some unique and chic places to fill your wardrobe. Flair thought that it was high time these hidden gems were exposed and to make looking good everyday just a little bit easier.
Funcouture
The sophisticated shopper will feel very much at home browsing around Funcouture. It stocks unique designer women’s clothing from fashion capitals, Paris, Milan and Athens. A good option for a dress with a difference and good value for money.

This little gem specialises in top class leather shoes, handbags and belts from Milan from design houses, Alberto Fermani and Popcorn.
It also has an exclusive range of silver designer jewellery inlaid with Swarovski.
A collection of fun ‘one-of-a-kind’ clutch bags from Frandami also have been given the Svarovski touch.

Borelli
If only Borelli had been around in Cinderella’s time, she wouldn’t have had to wait for the fairy godmother to show up in order to go to the ball. With a collection of silk and satin designer evening gowns imported from Germany, UK and Greece, there is something for all budgets and is bound to stir the imagination.
Gown alterations can be undertaken by Borelli’s in-house dress-maker. With sales prices starting at €85, you can get glamour for a pittance and only you’ll need to know how much it cost.

Don’t you just hate it when someone turns up wearing the same dress as you. Poeta understands this implicitly and stocks unique designs straight from Athens which combine the modern and classic look. When you wear something form Poeta you can be sure that you will be the only one in Paphos wearing it. The shop only stocks one item of each. Ah – it understand women so well!

This is a stop on every shopping trip and specialises in Cypriot designs and clothing from Athens. This ‘fashion gallery’ is an ideal shopping stop if you are looking for a multi-purpose outfit with artistic flair and a touch of extravagance. Also stocks a range of accessories including belts, hats and jewellery. A man’s best friend may be a dog, I’ll stick with Ermou Seven.

If designer labels are your thing, this splendid shop will have you browsing for half the afternoon. It stocks cut-price Versace, Love, Sex & Money and, for men, Karl Lagerfeld designs with plenty of ‘one-off’ items for the super fashion-conscious. Range of unique accessories also stocked.

Devoted to elegant casual wear, true to its name, Novecento imports Italian designs mostly in earthy, neutral colours. Names like Denny Rose and Dolce Domenica hang alongside lesser-known names. Nice shop if you are looking for something you will wear regularly but will treat with care.
