So you have brought your pet to Cyprus and survived the hectic before and after paperwork and procedures; now what?

Cyprus has become an increasingly pet-friendly nation with a plethora of options for pets of all ages, breeds and sizes. From personal experience, I am aware of how important it is for pet owners to have access to good quality pet products, and as with humans, variety in shopping for our four-legged-friends is paramount.

In the Nicosia region, Mr Pet, located in Engomi, stocks a large variety of pets in store, specialist nutrition products, food and pet toys, as does Pet City with its exclusive and extensive selection of pet equipment, accessories and food.

There is also Vasiliou in Lakatamia (between Tseri and Metro roundabout). This shop is operated in connection with the Vasiliou Veterinary Services in the same building and they also have a pet pharmacy in the shop. Kivotos in Ayios Dometios, is a relatively small pet shop but run with a very big heart. Pet Park in Latsia and The Cacatoo in Agios Dometios are large pet shops that are well equipped for even the fussiest four-legged customer.

In Paphos, Royal Canin and the Safari Pet Shop are both highly recommended, as are Kings Pet Shop and Macaw Pet Shop in Limassol. All the aforementioned cater for and supply an extensive range of accessories for dogs, cats and an array of fishes and birds.
