Cairo

The weather in Cairo is fairly hot and dry all year round with most tourists preferring to visit during the mild winter from November to April.

The most famous attractions are no doubt the ancient Giza pyramids, the only remaining wonder of the Seven Wonders of the ancient World but the modern city also offers much to tempt the visitor.

The heart of the city is every shopper’s paradise as it is filled with shopping malls and the finest designer shops. At night you can visit theatres and a vast range of eateries, ranging from road side stands to fine five star restaurants, or go dancing at one of Cairo’s many night clubs.

For visitors wishing to catch up on some history, the Egyptian Museum displays Tutankhamen’s ancient treasures. And the pyramids, impressive as they are during the day, become a true spectacle by night during the dazzling sound and light show.

Just an hour and 20 minute flight away.
