Where do I stay? The Landmark Hotel (Formerly Radisson Sas Hotel) is one of the most famous hotels in Amman and is conveniently located in the commercial and business district. The services and amenities at the Landmark aim to cater for business and leisure travelers alike.
Where is good to eat? If you’re looking for a reasonably priced meal out you should definitely visit the Hashem restaurant opposite the Cliff Hotel on Alamir Mohamed Street. It’s a colourful establishment with a limited but very tasty selection of local dishes. While it may be one of the cheaper places to eat in Amman it counts the Royal family amongst its patrons.
Useful tip: When shopping in Jordan the purchase price includes a 16% sales tax that you are entitled to claim back if you are a tourist from outside Jordan. Look out for shops with the Premier Tax Free sign that ensures you can get a sales tax refund.
